40 runs...that is what stands between me and quite possibly the most difficult thing I have ever done besides giving birth to 5 children.
I can't even believe that I am typing these words right now but today I officially began my 10 week training leading up to my first 1/2 marathon.
Hopefully in 10 weeks from now I will be posting a picture of me with that medal around my neck and be able to say the words, "I just finished running 13.1 miles!".

Ditto! Should be fun, we will see what we are saying 5 weeks from now....
Cah-raaazy!!!! I'll pray for your knees, my friend. And mail you a bottle of motrin. And then I'll look up to you like I always do when you show, yet again, how you are the master of your body... not the other way around!
loves...
i'm so proud of you and you will do AMAZING! can't wait to cheer you on. hopefully i'll be able to join you next time (cause i know you'll want to do a 'next time'!!!
Wahooo!!! I'm so glad you decided to do this! You are going to be AWESOME.
We really are going to have fun. I promise. :)
I am really proud of you! I will pray for you to have joy when it is easy and strength when it is hard! I love you!
I am your biggest cheerleader based on the fact that I know what it takes. If I can run/complete 26.2 miles weighing over XXX???, you can complete 13.1 miles with your skinny little behind. Keep up the great effort!!!!!
Love you Lots
Dad
