Christmas baking gone wrong

Last night a few of my friends decided to get together and do some holiday baking. We all agreed on trying a new recipe and seeing as how we are all good cooks we were all excited. Well, I don't know if there was a full moon last night or what but something went terribly wrong.

One by one we finished up our dishes and one by one something had gone wrong. Some were more disasterous than others but by the end of the night we were in tears from laughing so hard.

The stars of the night were for sure the "fudge" that looks EXACTLY like mashed potatoes and gravy and the "carmel" that could be used as a lovely belt if your britches were falling down.

Let's just say that it was all bad enough that the husband who had offered to be the taste tester when viewing the beautiful plate placed before him....suddenly was not very hungry.

Despite our terrible outcome we had so much fun and I think it made it even more fun because nothing worked. Our next adventure we have decided may be an appetizer night....don't you want to come????

Hey - maybe we all came home without gaining TOO much weight because non of us wanted to eat our crap :) j/k
It all tasted good - looks however are a totally different story.

But how can you get better than ending a night hysterically laughing with girlfriends?

Okay, that was Way Too much fun! I am not suprised you took pictures! I am glad you did, I think we should take them at all of our recipe parties and then publish a little cookbook--haha!! I am still smiling and laughing when I think about it! I never quite know how we cover so many exciting topics....!!! LOVE IT

That sounds like a blast. It is always more fun trying new things and flopping with friends.
